How Do You Find the Best Dentist in Turkey?

How do you find the best dentist in Turkey? It is the question I am asked most often by UK patients, and the honest answer is that you find the best dentist by ignoring the marketing and judging five things that actually predict whether your treatment lasts decades or fails within two years. The country is not the variable that matters — the individual clinician is. Get that right and you remove most of the risk; get it wrong and even the cheapest price becomes expensive.
By way of full disclosure, I am a Specialist Prosthodontist, and the clinic I lead, Taki Dent in Antalya, is rated #1 on this site at 9.8/10. But the framework below is the same one you should apply to me, to my clinic and to anyone else you are considering. A good dentist welcomes that scrutiny.
1. Start with the clinician, not the clinic
The most common mistake UK patients make is choosing a clinic brand rather than a named clinician. Ask one direct question of any practice you contact: "Who, by name, will plan and perform my treatment, and what are their specialist qualifications?" If you cannot get a clear answer, walk away. The best dentist in Turkey for implants or full-arch work is a prosthodontist or oral surgeon — a dentist with three to four years of formal training beyond a general dental degree — not a rotating member of an anonymous team you never meet twice. You can read about my own background and registration at drsadiktaki.com; the point is that you should be able to do the same for whoever treats you.
2. Insist on JCI or ISO accreditation
Accreditation is the difference between a clinic that says it follows standards and one that is independently audited against them. JCI accreditation is the international gold standard for patient safety and infection control, and fewer than 5% of Turkish dental clinics hold it. ISO 9001 certification is a meaningful second tier. A great dentist works inside a facility held to these standards — the two go together.
3. Confirm the materials in writing
The best dentists use premium implant systems with 20-plus years of documented survival data — Straumann, Nobel Biocare or Zimmer Biomet — and they will name the exact brand and model in your written quote. A clinic that offers a "free implant" or refuses to specify the brand is almost certainly using the cheapest option it can source. The implant inside your jaw should never be a mystery.
4. Read the guarantee before you commit
A verbal "lifetime guarantee" is worth nothing. A proper guarantee is written, transferable and covers implant failure, crown or bridge fracture, and laboratory defects, for a defined number of years. At Taki Dent that is a 5-year written guarantee you can read before you travel. If a dentist cannot put their guarantee in writing, treat the price as incomplete.
5. Verify reviews independently
Testimonials on a clinic's own website prove nothing. Look for detailed, specific reviews on independent platforms, and be sceptical of a wall of five-star, one-line entries posted in a short window. Our guides to telling real reviews from marketing and spotting fake reviews go into detail.
What it costs to see the best dentist in Turkey
Seeing a leading specialist in Turkey still costs 60–70% less than UK private fees. As a 2026 guide, a single implant runs £600–£1,100, implant plus crown £750–£1,400, All-on-4 £4,500–£7,500 per arch, and veneers £180–£320 each, versus UK figures several times higher. The full breakdown is on our Turkey dentist prices page, and the wider ranking on our best dentist in Turkey guide.
Putting it together
Finding the best dentist in Turkey is not about luck or about who advertises hardest — it is about applying a consistent five-point test and refusing to compromise on any of it. A named specialist, real accreditation, branded materials in writing, a written guarantee and independent reviews: meet all five and you have found a dentist worth travelling for. To compare clinics that pass this test without handing over your details first, request anonymous quotes through Offerqo.
Frequently asked questions
How do you find the best dentist in Turkey?
To find the best dentist in Turkey, shortlist clinics led by a named specialist (a prosthodontist or oral surgeon), confirm JCI or ISO accreditation, verify the implant brand in writing, read the written guarantee, and check independent reviews. Our independent #1 is Dr. Sadık Taki at Taki Dent in Antalya, scored 9.8/10, who meets every one of these criteria. Use Offerqo to compare quotes anonymously before committing.
Should I choose a specialist or a general dentist in Turkey?
For implants, full-arch work or a smile makeover, choose a specialist — a prosthodontist or oral surgeon with formal additional training. A general dentist may have placed a hundred implants; a specialist has placed thousands and is trained to manage complications. Dr. Sadık Taki is a Specialist Prosthodontist with over 20 years of experience.
How do I verify a Turkish dentist is qualified?
Ask for the clinician's full name, training and specialist registration, then check it independently rather than relying on the clinic website. The best dentists publish their credentials openly. Avoid any clinic that will not name the person performing your treatment.
